I Don’t Necessarily Love Thanksgiving

November 29, 2013

Happy_Tgiving_ecardTomorrow, I’m gonna tell a story that involves me talking about some people I’m so unbelievably thankful for.

I try not to be all “I’m so thankful for _____” all over the blog around Thanksgiving time because I’m reading about it everywhere else. And I just feel like you don’t necessarily need to hear what I’m thankful for, ’cause you’re already getting all these other gratitude vibes.

I’d rather just wait until some other time like February or something and be thankful then. (I mean, I want to be thankful every day, but you get what I’m saying, right?)

But, I just had such a magical time, I have to state my thanks no matter what month we’re in.

Anyway, I’m not huge into holidays. (Note: This applies to me all the time except when I am in the greatest city in the universe. I worked as an elf in Macy’s Herald Square Santaland and it was magical to say the least. I love the gorgeous snow and decorations all over NYC. And I am Miss Holiday out there. But we’re not there…)

But Thanksgiving has never been my holiday. A bunch of weird foods that I don’t like, and so on. It’s not the loveliest holiday to me.

Also, I don’t like the mandatory time off work. Or all the fighting and general rargh-ness that comes out in people on Black Friday. Ugh. Yeah, it’s not my holiday.

This was going to just be the preamble inside the post, but obviously it’s long and I don’t want to taint my beautiful story with a long intro about why Thanksgiving is kind of lame. Therefore, tomorrow I’ll tell me gorgeous, positive story about some gorgeous positive women whom I love dearly.

I'd love to hear from you! So whaddya say?
