I had a post last year in which I said Donald Trump was almost delusional, and I even applauded him a little for going for this dream that wasn’t going to happen.
But now he’s become this exceptionally dangerous man who somehow keeps getting further than he ever should. And I don’t know what’s happening.
I’ve been thinking this at every turn – that I should apologize for that post. (Even though I also felt at every turn that he’d never move on.) But he keeps moving on. So, I think it’s time for me to just say I’m sorry. The idea that sometimes someone has to be a little delusional to keep a dream alive, I guess is still sorta kinda something I believe in. But Donald Trump being a shining example of anything at all (other than precisely the type of person we don’t want to be) is preposterous.
So, I’m sorry to have used him to help an explain a positive idea.
I’m sorry I thought he was harmless. I’m just sorry.
