A Little Reflection… – Part 5 (My Promises To Myself – Part 2)

Picking up from yesterday –

– I will work out at least four days a week. As part of my commute, I already walk 3 miles in the course of getting to/from work between different bus/train stops. And I walk some staircases and such too. So, I will be active and get my 10,000+ steps everyday. But I will work out with intent at least four days a week. (Again, I’ll shoot for more and may very well reach it since exercise is very happily engrained in my life now. But four is the minimum.)

– I will always bring at least some food to work so I have things I know I can eat while still staying pretty healthy.

– I will use my weekends! I felt like at my last during-the-day job I completely vegged out and did nothing but basically sleep and try to maybe catch up on life during the weekends. Not this time. Since I’m going to be much better about working out and sleeping like a normal person during the week, I’m just gonna keep it up on the weekends and actually do things.

(The desire to make sure I don’t shut down on the weekends is part of why I started my cool new project. So, I won’t have too much of a choice since that must continue moving forward.)

So, those are my promises to myself. As of now, they’re seeming like they should be pretty realistically possible. I guess we’ll see how I do.

No matter what, I must do better than I did in my last job under these circumstances. Of course, being better than that shouldn’t be hard!

(Plus, this job only goes through part of July. So even if I implode, I can survive anything for only 4 months!)
