Can You Imagine What It’s Like To Be Smart At Smart-Person Jeopardy?

March 19, 2021

[This is just a random thought/post I drafted back in, March of 2018, but I was officially on “break” from the blog. Now that I have the time, I’m posting some old drafts.]

So, recently, I’ve gotten kinda back into Jeopardy!

(I love game shows, after all.) And tonight, I killed it on a category titled “My TV Dads” – every question correct immediately. If I ever landed on a Daily Double in a category about TV or sitcoms, I would have no issue betting it aaaaaaall!

But then there are all these super-smart people categories. (Books! History! And more!) And so often, I’m sitting there pretty dumbfounded, and people are hitting it out of the park.

Can you imagine being as confident in smart-y things as I am in TV things? But that’s how these people feeeeel!

I feel ready to see the next answer (because we give the questions, right?) in a category about sitcoms, TV dads… stuff like that. I’m on the edge of my seat screaming at the TV – and ready for the next one. Can you imagine what it would be like to be able to play a whole Jeopardy game like that?

So, anyway. I dunno. I guess it’s good I know so much about my field of work. But I could probably know some other stuff…

…But. I’m plenty good at other game shows. So, maybe it’s okay that Jeopardy’s not the one for me. Or… I dunno! It’d be so cool to be for real smart-smart about a whole lotta tons of things…

Anyway, that was just my random thought for the day!

I'd love to hear from you! So whaddya say?
